The former president's Family Member Gets Professional Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Prior to LPGA First Appearance
The rising star boasts substantial online audience
Kai Trump can count on numerous high-profile backers as she begins her professional golf debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, was granted a tournament invitation to play at the Annika tournament in Florida.
The former president, someone who loves golf, possesses numerous international courses and often matches against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we have tight competitions," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that Trump, who won't be present, told her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"My grandpa essentially advised me to go out there and relax," she continued.
"To me, he's just a normal grandpa. He can't make it this weekend. He's focused on world affairs, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has played in a mere three competitions in 2024 and has the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
However she's able to receive tips from golf legend, who is dating Vanessa.
"He stands as the greatest golfer in the world," Kai expressed.
"And he's a more impressive person. He suggested me to go out there, enjoy myself, and go with the flow."
The golfer will compete against multiple most prominent players in professional golf at this tournament, such as second-ranked the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that involving Kai helps introduce golf to new audiences, particularly reaching the next generation.
The young star has a massive following and recently launched an exclusive apparel and wellness label.
She begins at 17:30 GMT.
